Ασκήσεις καταδύσεων είναι ο τίτλος ενός έργου για μαντολίνο και προηχογραφημένο υλικό. Είναι μία κατάδυση στον ήχο και ένα παιχνίδι με αυτόν. Βουτιά και εκτίναξη σε εναλλαγή, τοποθετούν τον ακροατή σε διαφορετική κάθε φορά θέση, επιτρέποντας άλλοτε να βλέπει τη συνολική εικόνα και άλλοτε να βυθίζεται στις λεπτομέρειες. Ένας α-σύγχρονος αυτοσχεδιαστικός διάλογος μιας συνθέτριας που παίζει έτσι ώστε κάποια στιγμή ένα μαντολίνο (το οποίο και αρνείται τις καταβολές του και όχι) να παίξει μαζί της.

A free dive into sounds and the emotions they generate. A stubborn, furious pursuit of dialogue between the mandolin and the prerecorded and processed sounds. A kind of misplaced duo improvisation set in motion by a composer who explores a flowing stream of sounds for an improviser to relate to it, attending at times to minute details of the tape and at other to its overall sound aura - this is what we invite the listener to do as well. Trials, failures, leaps, are the inevitable price paid when one avoids secure pathways. In any case, the whole thing is guided by our determination to resist the seeming impossibility of communication.
